Dr. Newman discusses her early life in Tennessee, her education at Baylor and at New York University and her teaching career at various institutions. In an interview at the University of Minnesota where she is currently a professor of nursing, she explains her theory of health as expanding consciousness in which health is based on consciousness, movement and space/time.
